SOAR Copilot Module (Course 8) — Storyline Scenarios

Overview

Course 8 of the SOAR training program focuses on Microsoft Copilot for sales workflows. The module is approved at ~30–35 minutes — longer than the standard 15-minute target — to accommodate a critical Storyline interactive simulation. The extended length is justified by the depth of Copilot skill-building required and the expectation that learners will complete this course immediately before a live virtual session.

Development was blocked by a Mac/Storyline compatibility issue (Storyline 360 requires a Windows environment or a virtual PC image). The resolved workaround is to build on a Windows machine.

Course Structure

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, learners should be able to:
1. Use Copilot to locate internal resources (case studies, project files).
2. Write effective prompts for prospect research.
3. Execute a complete pre-call research workflow using Copilot.

Module Outline

Section Content
Fundamentals Copilot basics — streamlined from prior draft
Effective Prompting Prompt structure and best practices
Storyline Simulation Three interactive scenarios (see below)

Storyline Scenarios

Three scenarios were approved in the 2025-12-10 sync. A proposed fourth scenario was deferred to the live session activity.

Scenario 1 — Finding Internal Resources

Learners practice using Copilot to locate internal assets such as case studies and project files within connected SharePoint. Reinforces awareness that access permissions affect what Copilot can surface.

Scenario 2 — Prompt Writing for Prospect Research

Learners write and refine prompts to research a target prospect. Emphasizes iterative prompting (initial prompt → review output → follow-up prompt for deeper detail).

Scenario 3 — Complete Pre-Call Workflow

Learners execute an end-to-end pre-call research workflow, combining internal resource retrieval and external prospect research into a single coherent process.

Live Virtual Session (Follow-On Activity)

The course is designed to prepare learners for a live virtual session facilitated by Gus. The fourth scenario concept (a full "teach-back" activity) was intentionally moved out of the course and into this live format.

Session Structure

Prospect Examples for Live Session

Gus will identify 1–2 specific companies ahead of the session:
- A credit union (ideally one Agility Recovery has an account with)
- A supply-chain company (for vertical contrast)
