Citrus America Newsletter Strategy
Overview
Citrus America sends a monthly newsletter targeting Thursday morning delivery. The October 2025 planning call established a content framework balancing customer success stories, product highlights, and event coverage. The November newsletter will shift to a travel/event recap format given the density of fall shows.

November 2025 Newsletter Plan
Theme: Event Recap / "On the Road"
November's newsletter will consolidate fall travel into a single recap issue rather than previewing individual events.
Events to recap:
- WGA Symposium (Miriam attended; has photos)
- IFPA Anaheim (Brian and Jacob supporting booths)
- NGA Executive Conference, Washington D.C. (October 20–22)
Potential additions:
- Jacob's New England sales trip
- NGA partnership spotlight with NURIF Distillery (barrel-aged gin gimlet activation) — pending NURIF approval for co-mention
Format idea: Feature multiple team members (Miriam, Jacob, Brian) to show breadth of activity.
Content Sourcing Notes
Photos
- Always request at least one horizontal image for hero/banner use
- Vertical images can be used as supporting visuals throughout
- When client photos are unavailable, use storefront imagery or brand logo assets
Event Blurbs
- Miriam provides short written blurbs for events she attends
- Melissa builds the newsletter structure; Karly/team handles design
- Blogs updated with images are sent to client for review before publishing
WGA Symposium (Future Content)
- Miriam flagged this as a potential standalone newsletter topic
- Has photos from the event
- Could frame as "Citrus America at WGA — what we learned / what's trending"
- Tabled for a future issue; not in October or November plan
Broader Newsletter Content Strategy
Success Stories
- Aurora Public Schools meeting (Colorado) is a pipeline success story — Miriam meeting with them to gather quotes and get agreement to work with Stephen Levine on a formal write-up
- Bush's is the current active story in production
Event Coverage Framework
- Preview newsletters (sent before event): include booth numbers, partner names, call to action to visit
- Recap newsletters (sent after): photos, highlights, team quotes, momentum story
- October = preview (IFPA); November = recap (IFPA + WGA + NGA)
Press Releases
- Miriam noted need for new articles and press releases to support link-building and visibility
- NGA Executive Conference sponsorship is a candidate for a social post and/or press release
- NURIF Distillery co-activation could be a PR angle if approved
