ClearMix Campaign Strategy

Campaign notes and strategic direction for the American Extractions ClearMix Google Ads campaign, as discussed in the [1] October 2025 marketing sync.

Campaign Status (as of Oct 2025)

Metric Value
Conversions (last 30 days) 0
CTR Near average (~5%)
CPC High (competitive keywords)
Daily Budget $15/day → $20/day (recommended)
Monthly Budget Cap ~$1,100 (combined with Stick Packs)

Core Problems

1. Zero Conversions

ClearMix recorded 0 form fills or calls in the 30-day window reviewed. This is the primary concern. The low impression volume makes it difficult to draw reliable conclusions — the campaign has not yet reached the ~5,000 impression threshold Asymmetric uses before making strong optimization decisions.

2. High CPC from Competitive Keywords

The cost-per-click on ClearMix is significantly higher than the [2] because the keywords being bid on are more competitive. This compresses margin and limits how much traffic the budget can buy.

3. Low Impression Volume

Starting with very narrow, highly specific keywords limited reach too much. Insufficient impressions prevent statistically meaningful performance analysis.

Strategic Adjustments

Budget Increase: $15 → $20/day

Increasing the daily budget from $15 to $20 is recommended to generate more impressions and gather enough data for reliable optimization. At $20/day, the combined monthly cap across both campaigns (ClearMix + Stick Packs) is approximately $1,100 — though actual spend will vary with search traffic volume.

Keyword Expansion: Narrow → Broader

The campaign started with exact/narrow match keywords targeting a very specific audience. The strategy is shifting toward broader but still relevant keywords to:
- Increase impression volume
- Lower average CPC by reducing competition on any single term
- Capture a wider but still qualified audience

This mirrors the adjustment already made on the Stick Packs campaign, which improved impressions there.

Image Refresh

New ad imagery was updated (as of the call date) to improve CTR. ClearMix CTR was near average (~5%); the image update is expected to push it above average, as it did for Stick Packs (7.5–7.6%).

Relationship to Domain Rating

A significant portion of search impression loss across both campaigns is attributed to Search Lost (Rank) — Google's ad rank algorithm factors in the site's Domain Rating (DR). At DR 20, the site is losing ad auctions it is bidding on. The proposed [3] is expected to reduce this loss and directly improve ClearMix ad visibility without any budget increase.

Conversion Tracking Setup

Conversions are tracked via:
- Form fills on the ClearMix landing page
- Phone calls originating from the ad

There is no visibility into on-page behavior (scroll depth, section engagement, etc.). The team is also cleaning up extraneous conversion goals that were inadvertently included in reporting.
