AHS Sarah Smith Testimonial Video Project

Overview

A customer testimonial video project for [1], a Madison-based asbestos and mold removal company. The project centers on Sarah Smith, a homeowner who left an extensive, multi-paragraph Google review praising the company's work. The goal is to convert that organic enthusiasm into a multi-channel video asset library.

Vendor under consideration: [2], a Madison-based videographer with experience in customer testimonial and storytelling content.

Deliverables

Asset Specs Usage
Main testimonial video 2–4 minutes, 16:9 horizontal Website case study page, YouTube
Short ad clips 15–30 seconds, vertical (9:16) Meta ads (Facebook/Instagram)
Short ad clips 15–30 seconds, horizontal YouTube pre-roll
Social snippets Quote graphics, short clips Organic social posts
Raw footage Full unedited capture Internal use, social team repurposing

Note: Dan is willing to hand over raw footage to Asymmetric's social/design team for independent repurposing in tools like Canva or Adobe Express.

Tiered Pricing Options

Dan will provide a formal quote with three tiers. Rough ballparks from the intro call:

  1. Shoot only (raw footage handoff)
    - Half day: ~$700–800
    - Full day: ~$1,500
  2. Shoot + editing — full-service post-production into final deliverables
  3. Full service — shoot, edit, and Dan conducts the interview

Sebastian's expectation: client will likely opt for the full-service tier given limited internal video capability.

Content Distribution Plan

Creative Direction Notes

Dan's recommended approach:
- Shoot in 16:9 for the primary asset; cut vertical derivatives from that
- Blend interview talking-head footage with B-roll of the actual remediated areas ("show and tell")
- Lead with emotional resonance — the homeowner's relief and satisfaction — as the primary hook
- Style: hybrid news-story/documentary feel with warmth
