Cordwainer Contact & Careers Page Redesign

Decisions and action items from the November 2025 website strategy review covering the redesign of the Contact and Careers pages. Part of the broader [1] website refresh initiative.

Contact Page

Problem

The current Contact page is an embedded Further form that does not match the Cordwainer site's visual branding. The off-brand embed creates a disjointed user experience at a critical conversion point.

An additional issue surfaced during the meeting: a test inquiry submitted through the Further form did not trigger a confirmation email to the submitter. This is unresolved and needs to be investigated with Further directly.

Decisions

Action Items

Owner Action
Melissa's team Propose a redesigned Contact page that matches site branding while keeping Further routing intact
Bodo / Maria Contact Further to investigate why the test inquiry did not send a confirmation email

Careers Page

Problem

The current Careers page is impersonal and lacks the information needed to attract quality candidates. It also surfaces a "Volunteer" sub-item in the navigation that is no longer relevant to the page's purpose.

Decisions

Navigation:
- Remove the "Volunteer" sub-item from the Careers navigation dropdown.

Benefits section:
- Update the listed employee benefits to include:
- Life insurance
- Employee meals

Job descriptions:
- Add standing (evergreen) job descriptions for common roles — e.g., Nurses, CNAs — so the page actively attracts talent even when no specific opening is posted.

Action Items

Owner Action
Melissa's team Update the Careers page with revised benefits list and standing job descriptions
