Crazy Lenny's Bike Rental Request Form

A rental request form was built and approved for the Crazy Lenny's rentals page during the ^[1]. The form streamlines bike rental inquiries by capturing key details upfront and routing notifications to the right staff.

Placement & UX

• Lives on the Rentals page of the Crazy Lenny's website
• The existing "Rent Now" button scrolls the user down to the form
• No separate landing page; integrated directly into the rentals page

Form Fields

• Desired pickup date and time
• Number of bikes requested
• Bike specifications (optional)

Notification Workflow

Submissions are emailed to:
- Steve Lindenau
- Evan (store staff)
- info@CrazyLennys (general inbox)

Notification recipients can be updated at any time — it is a simple configuration change.

Automated Disclaimer

When a user submits the form, they receive an automated response stating:

"This is not a confirmed booking."

The message sets the expectation that a staff member will follow up to confirm availability and logistics before the rental is finalized.

Booking Lead Time

• Minimum lead time: 24 hours before desired pickup
• Rationale: Rentals are rarely sold out — Steve noted this happens only 1–2 days per year, typically mid-summer. 24 hours is sufficient for staff to process any request.

Advanced Booking Limit

No maximum advance booking window is currently enforced on the form. Steve raised the idea of adding one but decided to hold off for now. This can be revisited if demand increases.

Status

Approved by Steve Lindenau on 2025-12-15. Form was live on the rentals page at time of approval.
