VCEDC Form-to-KIT Integration

Overview

The VCEDC website includes two public-facing forms — Contact Us and Event Notification — whose submissions must automatically populate the KIT email system used by VCEDC to manage contacts and event communications. This integration was identified as a post-launch configuration task during the ^[1] meeting.

Requirements

• Both forms must feed into KIT automatically upon submission:
• Contact Us form — general inquiries from the public
• Event Notification form — sign-ups from people who want to receive event notifications
• Submissions should populate KIT without manual intervention (no staff data entry required)
• Tracy (VCEDC) is the internal KIT administrator and primary point of contact for configuration

Rationale

Kathy (VCEDC) explained the business logic: if someone signs up to receive event notifications, VCEDC needs that person in their contact system. Both form types represent new contacts or leads that belong in KIT regardless of which form they used to reach out.

Configuration Notes

• Tracy had previously configured a similar integration on the old site; the mechanism (likely a webhook or native KIT connector) should be replicable on the new site
• Asymmetric does not currently hold KIT login credentials — Tracy will need to provide access or configure the connection herself with guidance
• Melissa (Asymmetric) is the internal owner of this coordination task
