First Task: Social Graphics for Free Cooler Promo

Overview

Roy's first assigned task at Asymmetric: design two social media graphics for Crazy Lenny's "free 45-quart cooler with e-bike purchase" weekend promotional campaign. This task serves as a brand familiarization exercise and a demonstration of Roy's design approach for Melissa and Carly to review.

Assigned in: [1]
Client: [2]
Assigned to: Roy Tolosa
Reviewers: Melissa Cusumano, Carly

Campaign Brief

Field Detail
Promotion Free 45-quart cooler with any new e-bike purchase
Timing This weekend only
Deliverables 2 graphic options + social copy
Suggested headline "E-bikes just got cooler"

The graphic should feature an e-bike prominently, with a cooler element incorporated (e.g., in a corner). Copy for the social post caption should accompany the graphics but does not need to appear on the graphic itself.

Design Process

Canva Setup

  1. Open Canva → Projects → Crazy Lenny's folder
  2. Browse existing templates to understand brand style (fonts, colors, layout patterns)
  3. Select a suitable existing design and duplicate it (do not edit originals)
  4. Rename the copy: Crazy Lenny's March Promo
  5. Create two distinct graphic variations within the file, labeling pages Promo 1 and Promo 2

Design Guidelines

Submission Workflow

Step 1 — Prepare the Google Doc

Navigate to Google Drive → Shared → Crazy Lenny's → Content → Social Post and create a new Google Doc containing:
- Downloaded graphic images (Promo 1 and Promo 2)
- Proposed social media caption copy for each option

This mirrors the format used by the previous social media team member.

Step 2 — Update ClickUp

  1. Move task status from To Do → In Progress when work begins
  2. When ready for review, move status to Internal Review
  3. In the task comments, tag @Melissa and @Carly with a note linking to or describing the deliverables

Step 3 — Notify via Slack

Send a direct Slack message to Melissa (and optionally Carly) to flag that the task is in Internal Review. Melissa has ClickUp notifications turned off, so Slack is the reliable fallback. Carly has notifications on but a heads-up is still good practice.

Note: Melissa is creating a dedicated #social-media Slack channel for ongoing social discussions. Once live, use that channel for submission notifications.

Platform Context

Crazy Lenny's social posts are published via GoHighLevel. Roy will be walked through the GoHighLevel posting workflow by Melissa or Carly once the design review is complete. This is intentionally deferred until after the design/copy review step.
