Salesforce Email Domain Setup & WordPress Opportunity

Overview

PaperTube has been sending emails without a dedicated sending domain — they've been using their primary papertube.co domain. To properly configure Salesforce email, they need a separate domain registered and authenticated. Parag (the client contact) identified himself as the sole tech resource, so he needs hands-on guidance rather than a spec sheet to hand off.

Mark is joining the February 6 call to walk through domain selection and kick off the Salesforce email setup process.

A secondary opportunity surfaced in the same conversation: Parag asked about web hosting and site management, opening the door to a WordPress engagement for brand content, SEO, and blog publishing.

Domain Setup

Problem: Salesforce email requires a dedicated sending domain separate from the primary business domain. PaperTube currently has no such domain registered.

Options discussed:
- papertube.pro — available
- papertube.io — available
- papertube.app — available
- papertube.shop — available
- Various other TLD variants explored

Decision: No domain selected yet. Parag will choose on the Feb 6 call with Mark's guidance.

Next steps:
- Mark joins Feb 6 PaperTube call to guide domain selection and registration
- Once domain is registered, configure DNS records and authenticate with Salesforce
- Full Salesforce email setup can follow in a subsequent session

WordPress / Web Hosting Opportunity

Parag asked whether Asymmetric could recommend web hosting providers — an opening Karly recognized as a service opportunity.

Current state: PaperTube's website runs on Shopify, which is a hosted platform (no separate hosting needed). However, Shopify is oriented toward retail; it does not serve PaperTube's primary business goal of winning custom brand work.

Opportunity: Build a separate WordPress site to support:
- Custom brand portfolio and positioning
- SEO and organic search
- Blog/content publishing (Parag specifically mentioned this)
- Ongoing site management

Parag noted a previous bad experience with WordPress, so the conversation will need to address that directly. Mark will handle the technical discussion and pricing on the Feb 6 call. Karly deferred pricing questions rather than quoting on the spot.
