Active Projects
VilasCountyEDC.org Website Rebuild
- Platform: WordPress
- Domain: VilasCountyEDC.org (registered on ForkBund — we control it)
- Current DNS: Cloudflare (complicates nameserver switch)
- Staging: Active; Aki performing edits
- Status: Launch blocked — see open issues below
Open Issues
- [ ] Mobile responsiveness bugs: hero image overflow, social icon stacking, button misalignment
- [ ] Recommend Eshock or Jeff do a fresh-eyes review of responsive behavior
- [ ] Tracy must confirm all needed files from old site are backed up before DNS cutover
- [ ] Aki must pause all staging edits before production push
Launch Sequence (once blockers cleared)
- Melissa instructs Aki to freeze staging edits
- Mark switches nameservers → ~1 hour downtime expected
- Mark pushes staging to production
- Aki resumes edits on staging (now identical to production)
- Mark activates Stripe payment gateway using credentials from LastPass
Known Infrastructure Notes
- Existing DNS records captured: A, MX, SPF
- Missing DMARC record — potential email deliverability risk post-launch
- Old site is not WordPress; was rebuilt from scratch (not migrated)
- Switching DNS will make old site inaccessible via domain — no rollback without contacting previous host
