Crazy Lenny's Signage Redesign — 80 sq ft Ordinance
Overview
Crazy Lenny's main exterior sign must be redesigned to comply with a new city ordinance capping signage at 80 sq ft — down from the current sign's 144–145 sq ft. Two vendor options are being evaluated. The project is being coordinated by Melissa Cusumano (Asymmetric) with client contact Steve Lindenau.

Constraint
| Factor | Detail |
|---|---|
| Current sign size | ~145 sq ft |
| Ordinance maximum | 80 sq ft |
| Sign type | Box sign (existing structure on-site) |
| Visibility context | Viewed primarily from the highway; pedestrian proximity is minimal |
Design Options Under Evaluation
Two vendors are preparing cost estimates and design drawings:
- New face for the existing box — Replaces the front panel of the current box sign while reusing the existing structure. Lower cost likely; provides a refreshed look without full replacement.
- Channel letters — Freestanding dimensional letters mounted to the building or structure. More visual pop; higher cost likely.
Both options will be submitted to Steve for review by the following week's meeting.
Branding Requirement
The "Electric Bikes" lightning bolt graphic must be incorporated into the new design for brand consistency. The bolt appears on existing in-store/exterior signage.
Asset Status
- Steve will search for the original graphic file (created by a former employee).
- If the file cannot be located, Melissa will photograph the existing sign and have the design team recreate it.
Action Items

- [ ] Melissa — Send signage options to Steve for review (target: next weekly meeting)
