Website Launch & Meta Description Updates
Overview
The American Extractions website launched successfully in October 2025. A brief 1–2 hour outage occurred during a post-launch update but was resolved. Separately, meta descriptions for blog posts were not carried over during the site migration and were being manually added, with completion expected the following day.
Site Launch
The new American Extractions website went live with all core functionality operational. During a routine update shortly after launch, the site experienced a brief outage (approximately one to two hours) before being restored. No further issues were reported by the client.
"We've got everything up and running on that. There was a little hiccup on our end for about an hour it was down, but everything should be fixed now." — Karly Oykhman
Meta Description Gap
When blog posts were migrated to the new site, back-end SEO metadata — specifically meta descriptions — did not transfer over. These were being added manually post-launch, with completion targeted for the day after the call.
Expected impact: Completing meta descriptions should improve organic search visibility and click-through rates from search engine results pages (SERPs) within the following week or so.
Related Context
- Improving organic search performance complements the proposed [1] ($250 service to raise DR from 20 → 40), which addresses ad rank and organic visibility at the domain authority level.
- The Fieldwell Health site was still under construction at the time of this call; product images were pending from the client. See [2].
Key Takeaways
- Site migrations may silently drop SEO metadata; a post-launch audit of meta descriptions and other on-page SEO fields is advisable.
- Even a brief outage during updates warrants client communication to set expectations.
- Organic traffic improvements from meta descriptions typically lag by days to weeks as search engines re-crawl updated pages.
