Website Development Capacity & Revenue Opportunity
Overview
Asymmetric currently has two developers capable of building new client websites in addition to maintaining existing ones. This capacity represents an untapped revenue stream that has not yet been factored into budget projections or financial planning.
Current Capacity
- Developers: Two developers on staff
- Output: 1–2 new websites per month, alongside ongoing maintenance of existing client sites
- Status: Capacity exists now; revenue from this work is not yet priced into the budget
"We can do a website or two a month, you know, in addition to taking care of the ones we have. And that's not priced into the budget." — Mark Hope, 2026-01-05
Strategic Significance
This was identified during the [1] as a meaningful near-term revenue opportunity. At a time when monthly revenue ($79k) is barely covering a ~$70–75k burn rate for a 15-person team, website development projects represent incremental income that could meaningfully improve cash flow without requiring additional headcount.
Key points:
- No new hires required — existing developers have the bandwidth
- Not yet sold or marketed — this capacity is available but not actively generating revenue
- Complements existing services — new site builds pair naturally with ongoing SEO and social media retainers
Ownership
- Raphael is confirmed to continue leading website work
- The design team supports alongside development
Related Gaps
New website builds will surface SEO setup work (meta tags, technical configuration) that was previously handled by Yeshwant, whose role was eliminated. As new sites are built, the team will need a plan for handling initial SEO — either absorbing it into account manager responsibilities, using the [2] for guidance, or engaging Yeshwant on a project basis.
