Culinary Landing Page — Form Integration & Launch
Overview
Didion Milling's culinary landing page was built as a brand-new page to support an outgoing press kit targeting retail partners in the Chicago and Madison areas. The page includes a sample request form that requires full integration before the press kit can be distributed. The page was technically live as of the standup but not yet fully wired up.
Launch target: Within 24 hours of 2025-10-06 (i.e., by end of day 2025-10-07).
"In the next 24 hours would be great." — Melissa Cusumano
Context
The landing page launch was delayed by approximately one week because it was a brand-new build. The client (Diana) is coordinating a press kit distribution — potentially hand-delivered — to retail contacts in the Chicago and Madison area. All press kit recipients will be directed to this landing page to request a product sample.
AM: Melissa Cusumano
Dev lead on form: Chris Østergaard
Form builder: Sam De Gracia
1. Zapier → Google Sheets Connection
- Chris connected the culinary landing page form to Zapier during the standup.
- Blocker: A destination Google Sheet has not yet been provided.
- Action: Melissa to reach out to Diana to obtain or confirm the target Google Sheet for form submissions.
- Fallback: If Diana doesn't respond in time, Gravity Forms will capture all submissions locally and they can be exported/imported later — no data will be lost.
2. Email Notifications
Two notification emails need to be configured:
| Notification |
Recipient |
Notes |
| Admin notification |
Site admin / internal team |
Default exists; verify routing |
| Submitter confirmation |
Person who filled out the form |
To be modeled after the "snack meal" form template |
Chris will handle both notification setups. Sam does not need to update notification copy.
The form is a sample request form. Confirmation messaging to submitters should reflect that framing (e.g., "We received your sample request and will be in touch").
Action Items
- [ ] Melissa → Contact Diana to get the destination Google Sheet URL for Zapier integration
- [ ] Chris → Complete Zapier → Google Sheets connection once sheet is provided
- [ ] Chris → Set up submitter confirmation email notification (model after snack meal form)
- [ ] Chris → Verify admin notification is routing to the correct recipients
- [ ] Melissa → Confirm with Diana whether press kits are being hand-delivered or mailed, and exact distribution timeline
Technical Notes
- Form is built in Gravity Forms; Sam built the form itself.
- Zapier connection is partially complete — trigger side is connected, destination (Google Sheet) is pending.
- Even without the Zapier connection, Gravity Forms will retain all submissions, so there is no risk of data loss during the integration window.
- Watermarked photos were still present on the page as of the standup; design team is finalizing those separately.
