Vendor Intro: Dan LaCloche (DLC Effect) — Video Project

Overview

Intro call between Sebastian Gant (Asymmetric) and Dan LaCloche of DLC Effect to establish a working relationship and scope a customer testimonial video for [1]. Dan was referred through Mark and has prior experience working with Crazy Lenny's E-Bikes and other Madison-area accounts.

The immediate project centers on a glowing multi-paragraph Google review left by homeowner Sarah Smith about her asbestos/mold remediation experience with AHS. The goal is to turn that review into a video asset suite usable across paid ads, social, and the AHS website.

Vendor Profile: Dan LaCloche

Day Rates (Shoot Only)

Engagement Rate
Full day $1,500
Half day $700–$800

Editing, interviewing, and full-service options are quoted separately — see #Proposed Scope & Tiers below.

Project: AHS Customer Testimonial Video

Background

AHS client Sarah Smith left an extensive, enthusiastic Google review after having mold/asbestos removed from her home. Mark suggested converting this into a video testimonial. Sebastian is coordinating the vendor relationship remotely (Sebastian is based in Rhode Island; AHS and Dan are both in Madison).

Shoot Concept

Dan proposed shooting at Sarah Smith's home — conducting a sit-down interview and capturing B-roll of the treated areas for a "show and tell" effect. The interview itself typically runs 15–20 minutes; setup (lighting, framing) takes 30–45 minutes.

Deliverables Discussed

Asset Format Use
Main testimonial video 2–4 min, 16:9 Website case study page, YouTube
Short ad clips 15–30 sec, vertical Meta ads (Facebook/Instagram)
Short ad clips 15–30 sec, horizontal YouTube pre-roll
Social snippets Quote graphics / short clips Organic social posts
Raw footage All captured footage Internal use / Asymmetric social team

Dan explicitly offered to hand over raw footage after editing — he does not hoard source files.

Content Distribution Plan

Proposed Scope & Tiers

Dan will provide a tiered quote covering at minimum:

  1. Shoot only — raw footage handed off; Asymmetric/AHS handles editing
  2. Shoot + edit — Dan delivers polished long-form video and short cuts
  3. Full service — shoot, conduct interview, edit all deliverables (most likely option per Sebastian)

Sebastian noted AHS is new to video investment and not highly technical, so the full-service tier is the expected choice. Tiered options are being provided for transparency.
