Quaritalia Staging Site Development
Overview
The Quaritalia website is in active development, with a staging site expected to be ready for interactive review within 2–3 weeks of the October 2025 sync. The primary bottleneck is copy and project content; Asymmetric (Karly's team) has taken ownership of drafting all site copy to unblock development, while project-specific content must be sourced from the Italia team.
The site design mirrors the existing [1] website for consistency — same zigzag layout, same project page structure — reducing design decisions and keeping the two brands visually coherent.
Page Status
| Section | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Homepage | Approved | Testimonial section pending content from Italia team |
| Contact Form & Location | Approved | — |
| Service Pages | Layout approved | Copy to be drafted by Asymmetric |
| Project Pages | Layout approved | Content must come from Federica/Italia team |
Testimonials Section
The homepage includes a testimonial block. Lincoln flagged a competitive sensitivity concern — displaying client names publicly could expose Quaritalia's customer base to competitors. Decision: proceed provisionally. Lincoln will consult Martin Foote to confirm whether testimonials are appropriate to publish. A screenshot of the section will be shared with the Italia team to illustrate the format (paragraph-length blurbs). Potential contributors: Martin Foote, Federica, Gigi, Fabrizio.
Copy Strategy
Decision: Asymmetric will draft all site copy (services, general pages) rather than waiting for the Italia team to provide it. The rationale is that a draft will prompt faster editorial feedback from Quaritalia than an open-ended content request.
"I think if you guys take a crack at these little blurbs, that might prompt an editorial response from Quarra Italia." — Lincoln Durham
Project pages are an exception. Project content (descriptions, bios, imagery) must come directly from the Italia team and cannot be drafted by Asymmetric.
Project Content Collection
- Owner: Karly Oykhman
- Action: Email Federica requesting project details and bios; CC Lauren Pomaranski and Lincoln Durham
- Lauren had already emailed Federica to flag the incoming request; no response received as of the call date
- Karly to create a dedicated "Projects" folder in the Quaritalia shared Google Drive to organize incoming content
Asset Management
The Italia team has begun uploading video and imagery to the shared Google Drive folder. As of the call, a meaningful volume of assets (including video) was already present.
- Asymmetric will instruct the development team to begin swapping placeholder assets with real content as the staging build progresses
- Karly to add a "Projects" subfolder to the shared drive for structured project content delivery
Open Invoice
An invoice from Quaritalia to Asymmetric remains unpaid. This is not a development blocker — work is continuing — but Lincoln committed to following up with the Italia team to get it processed.
Key Decisions
- Asymmetric drafts all non-project copy to unblock development
- Project page content must be sourced from Federica/Italia team via direct outreach
- Site layout mirrors Quarra Stone for brand consistency
- Testimonial section proceeds pending Lincoln's conversation with Martin Foote
- Staging site target: 2–3 weeks from call date (late October 2025)
